All Genders, All Athletes
Almost every athlete runs, because almost every sport demands it. But most athletes have never been taught how to run properly — and that gap shows up everywhere, on every field, in every game. RISE Track & Field Program builds the movement foundation that carries athletes further in whatever sport they play. Real work. Real development. Real results.
This program isn't just for aspiring track athletes. It's for any athlete who wants to move better, get faster, and build a foundation that translates across every sport. From the 6-year-old learning how to run for the first time to the 18-year-old training for college, every athlete develops here.
RISE Track & Field competes at the highest levels of youth track through active affiliations with AAU and USATF. Athletes have a clear road map from local practice to regional competition to national championships — including the Junior Olympics.
Respect. Integrity. Sacrifice. Excellence. These aren't words on a wall — they're the standard every athlete is held to from day one. RISE Track & Field challenges athletes to chase the best version of themselves, on the track and off it.
Darryl Valdez serves as the driving force behind the track and field program. With over 10 years of experience in personal training and athletic development, Darryl works with athletes across the full spectrum — from youth competitors to professionals — bringing the same standard to every level.
Darryl is certified through USATF and writes all strength programming used within RISE. His athletes don’t just improve during the season — former RISE athletes who have gone on to compete at UCLA and the University of Washington have credited his training as direct preparation for college-level programs. He’s not just a trainer. He’s a developer of athletes.

Training at RISE Track & Field starts from the ground up. Before speed, before competition, before anything else — we build the movement fundamentals most athletes have never been taught. When athletes go through our drills, many realize for the first time that they don’t even know how to run properly. That’s where the work begins.
Sprint Mechanics PProper arm drive, leg drive, body lean, and posture — the technical foundations of fast, efficient running. Athletes deconstruct their movement patterns and rebuild them the right way.
Explosive Power & Fast-Twitch Development Plyometric training and explosive movement drills that develop the fast-twitch muscle activation needed to accelerate off the line and out of every cut.
Acceleration & Deceleration Getting up to speed is only half the equation. Athletes train the ability to decelerate, change direction, and re-accelerate — the movements that separate good athletes from great ones.
Foundational Drills A-skips, B-skips, and progressive sprint drills that build proper mechanics from the first step. These are the same fundamentals used at the highest levels of track — introduced here so athletes own them early.
Flexibility, Mobility & Body Control Full-body movement efficiency through targeted flexibility and mobility work. Athletes who came into the program unable to bend over to tie their shoes have completed it moving with control and confidence.

RISE Track & Field is built for any youth athlete who wants to move better and get faster. Football, basketball, soccer — if your sport requires you to run, this program makes you better at it.
Every athlete trains with instructors who've competed at the highest levels—former college players, college coaches, and high school coaches who understand the game because they've lived it.
Our philosophy is built on three principles that define how we develop teams:
Football is the ultimate team game. Teams receive coaching together while competing against elite competition, building the chemistry and brotherhood needed to succeed on the field and in life.
If you love football, you're all in—disciplined in the classroom, relentless in training, accountable to your team, and demanding to be coached hard. Give yourself to the game, and you'll be rewarded with the intangibles to succeed in every walk of life.
Developing good habits and fundamentals is vital not just in football but in life. We use football as the instrument to teach lifelong skills in a competitive environment, free from the constraints of failure.
