Eric Kurle is the High School Program Coordinator and High School
Coach Liaison for Rise football. Coach Kurle played quarterback for the
Puyallup Vikings under Mike Huard. After high school, he played
for nationally recognized and member of AFCA Hall of Fame Frosty
Westering at PLU.
Coach Kurle has been a well respected high school coach in the area for
over 25 years compiling a record of 196-71. After a two year stint
at Franklin Pierce High School as an assistant, he accepted the head
coaching position at Clover Park. Clover Park won 17 games in his
4 years there before leaving to oversee the Bethel program. While at
Bethel, he took the Braves to 7 straight playoff appearances, a
second place finish in state, and a national ranking of 22.
Currently, he is the Head Coach at Graham Kapowsin High School and has them competing consistently for state championships. His last 19
teams have all made the playoffs, he has coached 3 US Army All
Americans, 1 Elite 11 Quarterback, and is well respected amongst college
coaches for his honesty and humility. He loves coaching kids and
teaching them life lessons while learning the game of football.
He has been married to his wife Erika for 25 years and they have 3
boys: Tyler, Ian, and Colby
